Parenta is not a clinical service.

Parenta AI is a parenting support tool. It is not a doctor, not a therapist, not a diagnostic instrument, and not a crisis line. We are explicit about this — in this page, in onboarding, and in the app itself whenever a conversation drifts toward something a human professional should hold.

What Parenta will not do.

  • Diagnose your child. Not formally, not informally.
  • Prescribe, dose, or modify any medication.
  • Replace a therapist, paediatrician, OT, SLT, psychiatrist, or school SENCO.
  • Make decisions for you about safeguarding, custody, or schooling.
  • Pretend to be a crisis service.

What Parenta will do when something is serious.

If a conversation suggests imminent risk to a child or to you — suicidal ideation, self-harm, abuse, an unsafe living situation — Parenta will stop trying to "help with parenting" and tell you, clearly, where to get human help in your region. It will surface the relevant crisis line. It will not try to talk you down itself.

Our boundary disclosure.

Parenta is built on Anthropic's Claude family of models, with our own guardrails layered on top. Claude is good at calm, considered language and is poor at things it should not be doing — diagnosing, predicting clinical outcomes, or replacing a relationship with a human professional. We are aligned with that limit. We will not engineer around it.

Safeguarding stance.

Parenta is designed for the caregiving adult, not for the child. We do not sell, market, or design for under-18 users. If we have a credible reason to believe a child is at imminent risk, we will direct you to the relevant services — we do not promise confidentiality where it would put a child in danger.
