FAQ
Common questions about Parenta AI
Answers to the things parents ask us most — from how it works to what it will never do.
Is Parenta AI a medical or clinical service?
No. Parenta AI is a parenting support tool, not a clinical service. It will not diagnose your child, prescribe medication, or replace a therapist, paediatrician, OT, speech therapist, or any other licensed professional. When a conversation touches something that needs a human expert, Parenta says so clearly.
Who is Parenta AI for?
Parenta is built for caregiving adults — parents, grandparents, foster carers — especially those raising neurodivergent children (ADHD, ASD, sensory differences, developmental differences). It supports all families with personalised parenting guidance, 24 hours a day.
How does Parenta personalise advice for my child?
When you first set up Parenta, you tell it about your child — their name, age, diagnosis, sensory profile, communication style, triggers, and what helps them feel safe. Every answer Parenta gives is shaped by that profile, not by generic advice. As you use the app, the profile deepens quietly in the background.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from inside the app. We treat all users as if GDPR applies regardless of where they live.
Can I use Parenta AI for free?
Yes. The free plan lets you create a full child profile and have real AI parenting conversations by text, voice, or photo — no credit card required. A Premium plan is available for unlimited conversations, full issue tracking, and data export.
Does Parenta AI work well for ADHD and autism parenting?
ADHD and autism parenting are where Parenta is deepest. The AI is built on neurodiversity-affirming frameworks (CPS, Floortime/DIR, Polyvagal Theory, sensory integration) and will never frame your child's differences as something to be fixed or eliminated. It offers parent-side adjustments before child-side targets.
What happens if I'm in crisis or my child is at risk?
Parenta is not a crisis line. If a conversation suggests imminent risk — suicidal ideation, self-harm, abuse, or an unsafe living situation — Parenta stops trying to help with parenting and directs you clearly to the relevant human crisis service in your region. In any immediate emergency, please call your local emergency number.
Can I use Parenta AI on my phone?
Yes. Parenta is available as an iOS and Android app, and as a web app you can use from any browser. All your conversations and your child's profile sync across devices automatically.
How is Parenta different from a general AI assistant?
Parenta is purpose-built for parenting. It knows your specific child, draws on specialist neurodevelopment and family-systems frameworks, and will not give you generic parenting advice disconnected from your situation. It is also explicitly bounded — it will tell you when something needs a human professional rather than pretending it can help with everything.
Can I use Parenta AI for a child without a formal diagnosis?
Absolutely. Many families Parenta supports are on waiting lists for assessment, or raising children who are just 'different' in ways no label has yet named. You don't need a diagnosis to use Parenta — just a description of your child as they actually are.
